Dear users,

Our editorial team does their best to ensure the high quality of our rental ads. Every day we verify ads before pubishing them.

Since launching in 2011, our team has worked really hard to aid you with your property search. We allow landlords and private individuals to publish their rental ads for free, in the same way that you are able to search and contact landlords for free.

Unfortunately we have realised that some ill-intentioned people were publishing fake rental ads. Their objective is to tell you a fake story in order to get you to quickly transfer them some money. Be wary for these kind of ads, particularly in the following cases:

The rent is abnormally low compared with similar apartments in the sector... even more abnormal when the apartment has seemingly amazing photos => good deals do exist in the property market but not miracles. You can of course still contact the landlord however be cautious, particularly if they start to tell some kind of story and ask you for a quick bank transfer...

They claim to be abroad and ask you for a transfer in order to reserve the apartment => apartments don't get "reserved". Transferring money should always be linked with signing the apartment contract. Never transfer any money without having signed a contract.

They claim to live far away from the apartment and want to be sure that you will therefore turn up for the apartment visit. They ask you to transfer a sum of money to confirm your interest in the apartment, which they say will then be deducted from the rent... => This is a scam. Landlords organise themselves to ensure that they are there for a visit - and it should never cost you to visit an apartment.
