Following the announcements of the President of the Republic, an exceptional bonus will be set up at the end of November for beneficiaries of APL but also young people, under certain conditions. Prime Minister Jean Castex announced this Sunday, October 18 that this bonus of 150 euros will be paid to 400,000 young people who receive APL as well as to scholarship students. Exceptional assistance which intervenes within the specific framework of covid-19 for personalized housing assistance.

Who are the young people who will get 150 euros in aid?

  • Young people under 25, salaried students or non-students receiving APL
  • Young people under 25, scholarship student

In all, 400,000 young people who receive APL and scholarship students should receive exceptional solidarity aid this fall. As a CAF beneficiary benefiting from APL (Personalized Housing Assistance), you do not have to take any preliminary steps, except to check your bank details. In addition, you will be informed of the payment by your caisse, either by email or by mail in the coming weeks.

Good to know about the APL of students in 2021: From 2021, the finance bill provides that the CAF benefit will be calculated over the last twelve rolling months and the income received will be updated automatically every 3 months, from so as to recalculate the rights every quarter. This so-called real-time APL reform should have entered into force, but it was postponed due to the coronavirus health crisis. First scheduled for April 1, 2020, it should enter into force in early 2021.
